Serious about whitewater rafting? You probably know about Gore Canyon (Class V) on the Colorado River! The West’s most famous river, the Colorado comes alive at the Continental Divide, beginning its 1400 mile journey to the Gulf of California.
Most rafters consider Gore Canyon the third most technical commercial run in the United States. You will thrill at the 12-foot waterfall, Tunnel Falls. Then tackle the 1/4-mile long rapid, Kirschbaum’s, named after the first person to successfully descend it.
We require rafters to have previous Class V experience. If you are interested in this adventure, please contact our office. Before we clear you for Gore Canyon, you must have either participated on a Pine Creek trip with us this season or guide recommendation. Also, you must be able to both swim a Class III rapid, and pull yourself into the boat which takes place at the mouth of the Canyon.
