THE HOBBS GLENWOOD CANYON EXPRESS!

Adventure Overview

From the lazy river….

To this!!!

It is that time of the year to come together as a family for a new adventure!

Our Shoshone rafting trip is a perfect mix of exhilarating whitewater and scenic floating through the iconic Glenwood Canyon. This trip includes Class II-IV whitewater and requires no previous rafting experience.

The first 2 miles — The Shoshone Section — offers the whitewater enthusiast exciting but not intimidating Class III-IV rapids. These first two miles, about 20-30 minutes, requires rafters to be over 50 pounds.

For anyone under 50 pounds, but at least 30 pounds, or those who would rather sit out the bigger rapids can join the trip at Grizzly Creek.  All the rafts pull over after the Shoshone Section, and those who sat out the first 20-30 minutes can join the trip for the remaining 2 hours of Class II.  This decision doesn’t need to be made at the time of booking, we will help you decide on the day of your trip.

You will have opportunities to relax, explore, and spend quality time with family while surrounded by steep canyon walls and gorgeous scenery. This trip offers first-timers and even experienced whitewater rafting enthusiasts the perfect adventure!

If you would like to join in on the whitewater rafting family fun on Saturday, July 9th, please hit the green “book this trip” link above/to the right to sign up.  Each person will be responsible for reserving your spot and you’ll want to do so sooner than later or you will literally, miss the boat!  All the information is there but if you need to cancel for whatever reason, you can do so with a 48 hour notice.

We will be picking up your group at your condos (The Borders Lodge) at 9:00am, driving together to the boathouse where we will get you outfitted before driving to Glenwood Springs and onto the river for about 2.5 hours of fun.  After boating, you will then have a light lunch and we’ll whisk you back to The Borders in Beaver Creek by around 2:30pm.

Hope to see you on the water soon!
