Shoshone Rafting

This trip is the same as our Shoshone Rafting trip that departs from our boathouse in Avon, CO.  However, this time year, instead of riding in our bus for 40 minutes to and from the river, you will drive yourself to our office in Glenwood Springs, an easy 45 minute drive from the Vail / Beaver Creek Area.  From our boathouse in Glenwood Springs, it is just a short 10 minute bus ride to and from the river.

The Colorado River Shoshone rapids are our most popular river adventure! Shoshone features unique character and spirit, with enough variety to accommodate adventurers of all levels. Located in spectacular Glenwood Canyon, Shoshone offers the whitewater enthusiast a two-mile stretch of exciting, but not intimidating, rapids. This section is typically Class III during mid-summer and fall, and Class IV in the spring.

When you set off down the river, much more than paddling awaits. You will have opportunities to relax, explore, and spend quality time with friends and family while surrounded by steep canyon walls and gorgeous scenery. Depending on the time of year, there are ample swimming opportunities as well, when the warm air makes the cool river very inviting. This beautiful canyon offers families, groups, first-timers, and even experienced whitewater rafting enthusiasts the perfect adventure!
