Adventure Overview
The Colorado River Shoshone rapids are our most popular river adventure! Shoshone features unique character and spirit, with enough variety to accommodate adventurers of all levels. Located in spectacular Glenwood Canyon, Shoshone offers the whitewater enthusiast a two-mile stretch of exciting, but not intimidating, rapids. This section is typically Class III during mid-Summer into early Fall.
When you set off down the river, much more than paddling awaits. You will have opportunities to relax, explore, and spend quality time with friends and family while surrounded by steep canyon walls and gorgeous scenery. Depending on the time of year, there are ample swimming opportunities as well, when the warm air makes the cool river very inviting. This beautiful canyon offers families, groups, first-timers, and even experienced whitewater rafting enthusiasts the perfect adventure!
Minimum age varies depending on current water levels. Smaller rafters will still be able to go, they’ll just join after the first 30 min.
