Lakota Guides provides wonderful river adventures on the Eagle River near the famous ski towns of Vail and Beaver Creek. Our Main Office is located in the town of Avon which is the gateway town of Beaver Creek Ski area. During the early season (May-June) we offer a variety of river experiences ranging from fun Class II-III whitewater all the way up to the exhilarating class IV-V rapids

Lower Eagle is a great introduction for first-time rafters with a sense of adventure! This section (Class III) offers ten miles of rafting fun. Lively rapids throughout this section keep the adventure exciting. This is a great family rafting trip; no previous experience required.

Dowd Chute is it, a pure whitewater adventure in the heart of Vail Valley, and an early-season favorite of our guides! If you’re looking for whitewater because you crave a challenge, this is your trip. Dowd Chute, a Class IV+ section of the Eagle River, features continuous rapids along this high-altitude, alpine river. The narrow Dowd Chute Rapid extends nearly a quarter of a mile and offers a thrilling elevation drop, so get ready to paddle.
